Bodytribe is a small collective of folks dedicated to empowering people through movement. But we prefer REAL movement, sometimes strange movement, and it often involves a battle with a significant amount of gravity's dogma.

Yeah, But Is It Yoga? Be Strong Through Better Movement.
This should be called "The Sea of Swirly Twirly Gumdrops" Also you channel deserves more view. Really good stuff.
I've gone through some of Mark Wildmans videos about the mill, but he just says "by the same side ear". This wing fling thing really changes how to do that part. Changed it from being a jerky mess to getting smooth and it really works the muscles with no shock to the joints.
The was exactly my experience and why I created this progression. Felt like a yank on my elbows until until I began breaking it down into sustainable bits and peices.
any advice when you have asymmetric strength doing one handed club drills and dont have lighter clubs... should you choke up? for some of the more difficult leverage drills I have lousy eccentric control on my weaker side.
u can take keys ur opponent
Another example of views not correlating to quality. Good stuff
Thanks for the review… I made up my mind and I will go be getting the Ridgeways now
Do you know if this is good for someone with rotator cuff issues/weakness/shoulders too far forward, bad posture type thing?
Very Clear explanation… make me easy to follow the heavy club mill… Thanks coach
Great video awesome sound effects.
To Me It Looks Like A Melee Zombie Weapon.,.it's A Good Size Melee Weapon Though 😂😆
I know more than a few people who keep their clubs by the front door... "just in case."
1:30 in to a 4:30 video and he hasn't said a single thing about the shoe, just hyping himself. Moving on.
So visuals involving the shoe showing them in the environment I use them isn’t interesting? Yeah, move on. Go read an Amazon review.
Great shoe bud have tried the wp version a liitle bit stiffer but fully waterproof for the cold winter days
Great history and research enjoyed watching this 👍
Great instruction. Watching in 2024 and I only just discovered clubs!!
Still teaching them the same way. Had a workshop this last weekend, in fact.
Danke!
Thanks a lot. I started with a baseball bat which improved my shoulder and upper spine mobility tremendously. But it's too light and didn't provide enough inertia to get the movements right. Tried to continue with a 4 kg sledge hammer (roughly 9 lbs). Doesn't sound much but due to the weight distribution and the lever it's not forgiving at all. Put my club together with 1" x 400 (roughly 15 1/2") mm && 2" x 400 mm according to what you suggested. One of the best pieces of advice I found about diy clubs. Mine is V4A - so it won't rust too much. GOOD to start with. Enough space to fill the whole thing with - heavy - pieces later on. I think I'll take old screws and stuff and buffer it with some foam-pads so it won't rattle. I'll definitely check out your other content. Subscribed !
Nice. Glad to be of help. Show us your completed club when you can.
Fantastic entry; you've done a lot of work/research. Keep it going, brother and thank you!!!
Oh that project, which began in 2009, I believe, was a doozy. Worth it, I suppose, but I would like to do an updated version soon.
AWSOME VIDEO from A REAL CHAMPION!!! Nice to see a video about TRAINING in the basement etc and not about 6 day split or how much junk this one is on or his instagram.TOMMMY KONO BACK when CHAMPIONS were CHAMPIONS!
I was honored to call him friend and coach. His mantra of practice makes permanent helps me keep things simple and precise.
Очень интересно, спасибо
пожалуйста
Great video. I enjoy carrying my kettlebells for a walk at home (low, rack and waiter's position).
I recently discovered this channel while searching for reviews of Xero shoes, but it was this video in particular that convinced me that this is one of the best and most underappreciate fitness channels on UA-cam. Your breakdowns are eloquent, thoughtful, instructive, non-dogmatic, and, most importantly, freeing. The fact that you collaborate with Dan John, one of the very few industry figures I respect through and through, lends you even more authority and credibility in my eyes. Thanks for your careful consideration of such a wide range of movement-related topics. You've earned a subscriber! 🙏
Wow! I appreciate the kudos & will continue to try to earn them. More videos coming soon!
What a great teacher and intelligent man !
Thanks for that review! I don't however think it would ever be a good idea to throw a boulder over the back of your head. 🙄
I used to throw them at other people, but apparently that's frowned upon. Too many rules.
Final honest opinion on these shoes arter the winter? How did they hold up and would you recommend them?
I now use them daily on a farm, in all sorts of weather. Dig 'em, and would get again.
The audio on this video is so over the top for a simple review, lol. Love the effort (also, drum and bass 👍)
Love the review man! You really put them through the tests we all wanna see when looking to get a new boot. I’ve got 5 pairs of different Xero shoes. My Merrel Moabs are finally wearing down so I think I’m gonna give the Ridgeway a try. Excited to have a barefoot boot for outdoors.
Are these shoes very breathable? You said that they work well as water shoes; can you elaborate? I'm looking for a pair of shoes for hot weather than vent REALLY well.
They're more mesh than not. On wet days, your feet will get wet, and that does tend to also mean they let a lot of air in on dry days.
great one
Thanks for this. 6 inch or 4 inch all thread nipple with 2 floor flanges solves the problem of needing a spacer.
What was the approximate cost on the materials?
40-ish dollars. Pipe pricing, being steel, can fluctuate a bit though.
There was a video a while back, where u were working on Hindu squats underneath a bridge. And you commented on the boots that you were wearing. I was going to buy a pair of those, but apparently. Now i'm going to buy a pair of these :)
I like these way better. Those other ones (Native, I believe is the brand name) look pretty cool. but these feel much better. And kudos for remembering an old video.
spacers?
What about them?
Great video! All the millennials/Gen Z'ers are now googling "Who is Fonzie."
Congrats on the new play space! As a garage gym dweller, i dont have space for a separte yoke. But I have been considering rigging some kind of yoke attachment to use with my farmers handles. Maybe some scafold poles or similar.
I'm guessing there are many DIY options. Let me know what you come up with.
Great video. As a former pro boxer who grew up boxing in the 80's and 90's, I watched Mike Tyson training a lot. There are many videos of him doing squats just like those while training. It established his stance width and balance. I'm sure it was part of Cus D'Amato's training program. He had a perfect upright squat just like that. Thanks again. Check Iron Mike out squatting.
Woah are you making a pipe bomb? " No, I'm making a club!" oh great! Let me lend a hand! LOL!!!!!
A classic!
Yes!
Just a tip, the routines with club bell that go through music etc. Have an advantage that most don't understand. When you put the movements to music it adds an element of tuning to the movements which develops agility alongside more controlled strength that isn't developed without putting it to music and the need to control and accelerate the movements to the timing of the music . It may seem hoky to those who don't understand the purpose but it is actually very beneficial to getting more out of your club training.
Love it!
Thanks. All makes sense. Good cues. I forgot about the trolls.
Share more club flows!
Like Ko’s jacket. Living in boots but discovered zero shoes this summer. Way to go!
Ko is reluctantly fashionable.
I finally bought some Xero shoes (red) based on your abuse. I NEED shoes to last, especially for a higher price! I buy on seasonal sales, or I would be able to. I hope that you put these through their paces.
Although my Aqua IIs fell apart too quickly (which I made a video about), my Speed Force are still going, , and my first pair of Mesa IIs are still in great shape.
Love your vids
My vids love you.
Cool! Thanks for sharing!
the part where you are joking about the instagram people and dancing was freakin hilarious man. I subscribed because of that but most importantly you teaching us how to make our own shit!
I've got a DIY plate loaded mace video as well. And eventual will have few more DIY videos as I build out my new gym space. Thanks for subbing!
I found this while researching on getting a steel mace. The ones online cost alot so I thought why not make my own? I also like the beginner tips. I want to work on my shoulder strength and mobility.
I also have a homemade mace video... ua-cam.com/video/chg7N0Z5Xm4/v-deo.htmlsi=8kFRTq0PxkACPigr
Love Warning ⚠️ Label. “NOT A PIPE BOMB” 😊
I made one with the posts from beds .
I wanna see.
